Solar Battery Storage With Backup Capability

Tesla Powerwall 3 stores electricity generated by your solar panels or imported from the grid, helping you use more of your own energy and reduce reliance on peak-rate electricity. When installed with a Tesla Backup Gateway and configured for backup, it can keep your home or selected circuits powered during a grid outage, depending on the system design and available battery charge. Tesla Storm Watch can also prepare the battery for certain severe-weather events, subject to availability and app settings.

Powerwall 3 monitors household electricity use and can charge from Solar generation or, where the tarriff and settings allow ,from lower cost grid electricity .Stored energy can then be used when electricity prices are higher or when Solar generation is Low .Actual savings depend on household consumption and electricity tariff, System design , weather and how the battery is operated .Any exported electricity is paid at the customers agreed export tariff rate.

Every property is different. The cost and potential savings from a solar and battery system depend on roof size and orientation, shading, household electricity use, tariff, product selection and installation requirements.

Following a survey, Green Forever Ltd will provide an itemised quotation together with estimated system performance and potential savings for your property. If finance is offered, it is subject to status, lender approval and separate terms.

Solar PV and battery storage may reduce the electricity purchased from the grid and may help improve your property’s EPC rating. Savings, payback periods and any effect on property value are not guaranteed.

"Terry (and John) provided us with geat detail on the process of installation, informed us about all aspects of solar energy, and proceeded with the installation very swiftly. It took less than a day and a half for the highly qualifgied workmen until all the necessary work was done, with minimal disruption , great care and a ceative eye, since our house is old and not easy to deal with for laying cables, finding ways to the roof and a place for the battery. All was resolved very well. We are highly impressed with the efficiency and quality of the work, the app is working beautifully, telling us every day how much we gain from the sun and avoid taking from the grid. Now we are just waiting for a smart metre installation from Octopus, which is causing a rather long wait. Still, we are already saving and contributing to improving the environment.
